Saturday Superdrug Splurge.

So yesterday, I went into Superdrug for some dry shampoo and came out with quite a few more things.

The first products I bought were the Superdrug dry shampoos. I bought "sinful moments" and "wild times", these are my 'go to' dry shampoos. They smell lush and really refresh my hair without leaving a mass of product buildup. I would definitely recommend them.

I also bought two Superdrug Purifying Cucumber Peel Off Masks. I have very sensitive skin so these are the only face masks I can use. They leave my skin feeling lovely and soft and I do like to peel the mask off when it's dry!

The next thing I bought was the L'Oreal Paris, Exclusive Collection - Doutzen Nude. This lipstick is a gorgeous pale pink which is really wearable.

Staying on the topic of lipstick I also bought a Revlon Color burst lip butter in Cotton Candy. This is also a lovely wearable shimmery pale pink - gorgeous for every season and occasion.

The final lip product I bought was the Nivea Lip Butter in Blueberry. These lip butters are super hydrating, creamy and smell amazing. Definitely a handbag staple!

I also bought Cutex Acetone Free Nail Varnish Remover. I bought this for when I want to change the colour of my acrylic nails.

I bought Rimmel Brow This Way in Clear. I needed a new brow gel and this one was on offer - so far I really like it!

The last thing I picked up was a Collection Lasting Gel Colour Nail Varnish in Almost Nude. I haven't seen these before so I made sure to pick one up. I bought the nude shade as it's super wearable and neutral - which is very important when you work in a primary school.

I can't wait to try some of these new products out and rediscover old favourites.

2015 Bucket List.

Now, I know we're 10 days in to 2015 but this has taken some thinking about! I want to have a bucketlist, but a yearly one. So as it's 2015 here's 15 things I want to do/achieve this year!

  1. Pass my driving test - I've had my car for 3 months and I just want to be able to drive her around whenever I want.
  2. Save more money - like everyone, I try and put away some money each month but this year I want to make a conscious effort to do so.
  3. Write in my diary at least 5 times a week - this year, I'm keeping a journal, just to clear my thoughts and save the memories.
  4. Try new food - anyone who knows me personally will know that I hate trying new food, so this year I want to be more brave and less fussy.
  5. Do more for charity - obviously I give to charity boxes and do fundraisers for work but this year I want to do more - maybe a charity run?
  6. GET FIT - I know this is cliché but I want to be fitter. I want abs like Jess Ennis and to be able to run for longer without passing out.
  7. Blog more - with working full time, I don't get much free time to blog but I want to make an effort to blog more often.
  8. Explore - I don't have a passport so I can't explore abroad, but I want to get moving, go for walks and explore cities and try new things.
  9. Show my appreciation - I am not great at showing my emotions but there are so many people in my life who I truly couldn't live without and I want to make an effort to ensure that they know how much they mean to me.
  10. Take photos (not just selfies) - I need to take more photos, not just on my phone, I want to use my SLR and my Instax to capture more memories which I can treasure forever.
  11. Be less of a doormat - I have a tendency to let people walk all over me, but this year I want to stand up for myself and be a strong person.
  12. Read at least one (non uni) book a month - I am so busy with work that I rarely have time to read for pleasure, but this year I want to make an effort to read at least one non uni book a month. That really doesn't sound a lot baring in mind I read the Hunger Games trilogy in a week...
  13. SMILE - I get my braces off in 6 weeks so I have no excuse for my mardy face anymore, I want to smile more (and show off my new braceless teeth).
  14. Meet new people - I am admittedly a baby, I like my friends and branching out makes me nervous, but I want to get out there and meet new people, learn new things and just experience more.
  15. Fall in love - whether that be with a boy, with a house, with a job, a kitten, a cake, anything! I just want to feel that happiness that is falling in love...

Well, that's my 15 things I want to do or achieve. I wonder how many I'll do!

Benefit! Goodies a Go-Go

I am a big lover of benefit makeup! I use porefessional, they're real and posie tint every day and my collection is increasing. For Christmas, my parents bought me a Benefit gift set, which includes 4 eyeshadows, primer and mascara.
This packaging is adorable and looks lovely in my make up drawer.

This is the inside of the gift set - so cute!

And a close up of the 4 eyeshadow shades. They're all beautiful neutral colours - "call my bluff" is a lovely creamy matte shade, "thanks a latte" "gilt-y pleasure" and "kiss me, I'm tipsy" are lovely shimmery shades of brown.

These eyeshadows are really wearable, I like to build them up for a dramatic look and wear them alone for a daytime look.

The "stay don't stray" primer works really well and makes sure that the eyeshadow doesn't budge, and they're real mascara  is my holy grail of mascaras!

Overall, this is a fab set to have! I'm pretty sure it cost around £20 which I think is excellent value!

Did you get any nice beauty sets for Christmas? What would you recommend?

Hello 2015!

I cannot believe that it is 2015 already, I am definitely feeling old right now. The joys of a new year is that you ultimately get the chance to start over. Upon reflection, 2014 was a pretty good year - I qualified as a teaching assistant, I began my teaching degree, bought my first car and much more.

There are still things which I want work on and do this year.

Stop panicking, take a moment to breathe and reflect and focus on the positives.
I am, admittedly, one of those people who stress about everything - uni, work, relationships, everything. I get myself worked up and then I don't sleep, which worsens my stress because I'm tired. (It's a vicious circle!) So this year, I've started writing in a journal, just to get things off my chest and so far it seems to be working - I feel like a weight has been lifted. Hopefully it continues.

Pass my driving test.
I've been learning to drive since Summer and I have recently bought a plum Peugeot 107 called Penelope, now all I need to do is pass my driving test so I can drive her around on my own!

Let it go.
As Elsa says, it's time to let it go. I tend to hold on to people who I shouldn't and it has a negative impact on my mood and my way of thinking. I know it's time that I got the toxic people out of my life so that I can move on.

Gain body confidence.
I've never been confident in my appearance, especially my body shape. For years I've worried about my weight and my size and this year I want to banish these negative thoughts and be proud of my shape and embrace it.

I think it's clear to see that in 2015 I want to be happy, I want to think positively and worry less. Let's see how this goes!
